This past weekend, we marked the opening of Carewell’s Dennis Urgent Care Center with a dedication ceremony and Open House. We welcomed about 50 area residents who toured our facilities, met our staff, and learned more about urgent care.
“Urgent care,” as state Rep. Cleon Turner explained in his welcoming remarks to the public, “is care when you need it, without an appointment or referral. If you have a sprained ankle, need a flu shot or have the flu, or is your child needs stitches – this is where you can come to be treated.
Dennis Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Spyro Mitrokostas noted that the Dennis facility is housed in a building that was formerly home to a Pizza Hut—although you would not know it to see the state-of-art exam rooms, x-ray equipment, and laboratory on site. Mitrokostas quipped that, thanks to CareWell, Patriot Square in Dennis had gone from “clogging arteries to clearing them.”s state Rep. Cleon Turner explained in his welcoming remarks to the public, “is care when you need it, without an appointment or referral. Mitrokostas added that his Chamber of Commerce office is often crowded with Cape Cod summer visitors asking for directions to the nearest medical facility. He said he was very happy that he could now simply direct them to CareWell Urgent Care in Patriot Square. In August, he described CareWell Urgent Care’s arrival on Cape Cod as “manna from heaven” in this Cape Cod Times article.

You do not need a referral from your doctor or health insurer and your out-of-pockets costs will be about the same as those for a regular doctor’s office visit.
Until next week, Stay Well!
